ELECTRONIC TONGUE has been applied to the analysis of medical liquids close in composition to human blood plasma. The system can perform simultaneous multicomponent analysis, measuring the concentration of several components, including those very hard to determine by other methods, e.g. hydrocarbonate and phosphate.
ELECTRONIC TONGUE has been applied to discriminate between the samples of human urine both from healthy people and from patients with different diseases. The system distinguishes the samples of urine from healthy people and those containing blood due to different pathologies. The work has been performed together with Italian colleagues from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata".
